The 2020 PwC GAA/GPA All-Star football team announced this morning is made up of the four All-Ireland semi-finalists - nine players from six-in-a-row champions Dublin, three from Cavan, two Mayo and one Tipperary inclusion. How did Twitter react?

Good to see the Cavan lads getting the recognition they deserve from last years Championship, but 9 Dublin players on the All Star team is outrageous, a true sign of the times. Just shows how good they have been for the past decade! #PWCAllStars #GAA

2 All Stars for reaching All Ireland? 2 ... JOKE π‘ #GAA #AllStars

Galligan is deserving of his All Star, no question. He reached Cluxton standards in 2020, but does that mean Cluxton is overlooked yet again because judges just expect him to be flawless year in year out? No Goals conceded, perfect kickouts, leadership #AllStars #Gaa

With his fifth award, Brian Fenton has surpassed Anthony Tohill and is now the second most decorated midfielder in terms of All Stars after Jack O'Shea (six). He's still only 27. #GAA #PwCAllStars

Over the moon for Dublin most under rated player

He takes the hit for his team
The job he does is for us is outstanding
Every great team needs a John Small

Massive congrats to @sweeney_con on winning a Football All Star. Thoroughly deserved and the cherry on top of a super year for him. A very proud day for all his family and all in his club @BallyporeenGAA. ππ»β½οΈπΊπ¦

Don’t be getting too vexed about the all stars or certain players missing out, they’re a bit of crack and in the grand scheme of the game mean very little. Having a total of zero all stars means I would say that though.

Kevin McManamon was one of Dublin’s most important players In the start of their dominance but the format of the all stars mean he got no all stars. If he missed out then I wouldn’t be stressing about All stars.

Presumably Stephen Cluxton needs to start scoring goals, from play, for him to get the All Star he deserves.

Every bloody year I promise myself I won’t get annoyed over hurling or football all stars, every year I failπ« Can only imagine how annoyed I’ll be after the hurling....
