First of All-Ireland Masters finals take place

The first of the 2024 All-Ireland Gaelic Masters (Over 40s) Football finals takes place in Dublin this afternoon.

Cork and Derry meet in the Shield final at the St Peregrine’s GAA grounds at 2pm. A number of former senior county stars will be in action, including Nicholas Murphy (Cork) and Kevin McGuckin (Derry). The times, dates and venues for the flagship Dr Mick Loftus Cup and Challenge Cup finals have also been confirmed.

Four-in-a-row chasing Tyrone take on surprise packets Roscommon in the Loftus Cup final next Saturday, September 14 at 3pm in Kingspan Breffni, while Armagh will go in search of another All-Ireland title when they face Sligo in the Challenge Cup final at the Fr Manning Gaels grounds in Drumlish, Co. Longford on Saturday, September 21 at 3pm.

The dates and venues for the Plate and Spirit Cup deciders will be confirmed in due course.
