A couple of lads on this forum who have been very quiet all Summer, then Kildalkey lose 1 match and the gloating starts. You are sour clowns. Stick to facts and the records will show that Kildalkey were the strongest club in the County. They can only play what was in front of them. It's beyond a joke how people like sour grapes in this group! Every Parish in the country never mind in Meath train as hard as each other in the early months of the year its the want, the desire, the hunger in every individual that keeps a club going. In this case Kildalkey had the 80 players training from the off go looking to better each other never mind other clubs. Who knows if they had the same amount of Hunger would they had gotten further? Maybe! Ratoath can cry over that red card all they want in my eyes and looking at Clubber TV it was deserved to be red. Although with the hunger and desire Kildalkey had that blitzed a very weak looking Kiltale team aside, Kildalkey looked unstoppable and that is what got them over the line if my club had the same attitude we would have gotten to a different level. All it takes is a good juvenile structure and lots of patience and That's how Kildalkey succeed in all their county glory. so most these so called Meath Hurling Supporters stop eating sour grapes and eat apples instead! congratulations Kildalkey On a very Successful year which might not be seen again in Meath in my life Time. Might be no harm to fact check before making comments here. I believe Kildalkey bet Trim 3-20 to 2-11 in the round robin part of the league. But I agree with some of the comments here with sour grapes. Last year when Trims Leinster campaign ended we didn't have the same comments floating around, or when Kiltale were playing Leinster either in their successful years. It's fair sad though when a club does well that you will always have the small minority who love a good takedown after a club has a successful year. You're either a hurling man or you're not and judging by some of the comments about Kildalkey on here since Saturday's game a few of the more bitter experts have come out to play. Shame on you that ye can't acknowledge and congratulate Kildalkey for what has been a fair take year and best of luck to any club if any who achieves a similar feat in the future. Maybe it's time you got on board to promote the game in Meath and spit out your sour grapes. Well done Kildalkey and everyone involved. It's good to see hard work paying off in the club. Well don't to Trim too on their Div 1 success. And best of luck to Kildalkey and Killyon on Saturday in the Donal O Lionsaigh final. Just had a look there and Kildalkey's second string demolished Trims second string in the Billy Byrne competition 5-20 to 0-11. And Killyon gave Trim a bit of a clipping in the Brendan Davis too 4-20 to 1-14.Probably missing county players but still didn't see you on here running Trim down for those poor results. Imagine that.

I agree Thomastown were one of the best Intermediate teams to come out of Kilkenny in a very long time. Kildalky had a very good year. They have been rightly recognized by the county board for that achievement. To be fair, going by attendances at games and general interest in hurling in Meath, not many have seen much hurling this year.

I think you're in the wrong section here, you're probably better off on the "Meath greatest league victories " one. You can have a conversation about the time Meath footballers could actually beat Offaly and Louth and compete for a trophy. Least the hurlers know they are ****. I'm not a Trim man, but I am sick of the bitterness of a few lads on this forum. Using words like 'embarrassed '. Like you said, what are their clubs doing? They continually put down the teams that are going well. Start asking your own club why they are not at the standard. Our Hurling community in Meath is small enough without the snide remarks. It is the same 3 or 4 lads who think they can say anything, despite it having no basis in fact. Try to engage the brain before spouting drivel.

100%, Hurling in this county struggles to get any recognition. We need to be supporting each other not ripping each other aparts

I was only taking the ****. You are 100% correct though. Personally, I always look out for and support Meath Hurling and football clubs in Leinster club championships. I would even attend some of these games when they're at a Meath venue. Was at both Kildalkey games this year and one of the Kilbride games in Ashbourne. I always want to see Meath clubs do well.
