I see from last years Senior Hurling Program Killyon won both Senior and inter in 1984, are they the last team to do so?

Novel minor A final Loughcrew/kells v dunboyne, hopefully played before the senior hurling final. Can't remember was the minor final or intermediate final before last years senior final trim v ratoath?

This was worded badly by me, but if Ashbourne win the intermediate obviously they go senior everyone knows that.
As K/M finised top of the weaker group they replace Kells in the stronger group next year (barring they do not win the intermediate)
As ashbourne finised 2nd in the group, if they win the intermediate how many teams will leave the weaker intermediate side of the draw for next year. Will two teams drop from Intermediate A to B?
Will Boardsmill drop down as they finished 5th in the stronger side of the draw.

I think minor was before Senior semi final last year, if I remember correctly. Junior final is on with 1 Senior and intermediate Semi-Final next Sunday. Minor could be on Senior final day. I think it changes yearly. Not 100% sure.

Not the same, but did Kildalkey win Senior and Junior in 2009?

Kildalkey still in for all 3 this year too. That would be unbelievable

Remarkable year for a small village. In 3 cup finals, 2 league finals, 2 championship semi finals and 1 championship final. They will have to split them in 2 next year; Rovers and St Dympnas, (for anyone old enough to remember).

What're we thinking for this weekend?

SATURDAY

SHC SF:
Trim vs Ratoath - everything I've seen so far from Trim has me convinced it is their Championship to lose. They dealt fairly handily with Ratoath in the last 'dead rubber' of the round robin and I cannot seeing it being much different this time around. Will need to be wary of the O'Hanrahan's of course, but there's just not enough about Ratoath that says they're able to turn around a seven point loss into a win in the space of three weeks. Trim by five

IHC SFS

Kildalkey vs Kilskyre/Moylagh - I had had doubt about K/M coming out of group B but they were dominant against Drumree and are riding a wave it seems. Kildalkey have bigger fish to fry this weekend - if they were to lose any of their three games, it'd be this one they'd be least upset about I'd say. K/M by four

O'Mahonys vs Donaghmore/Ashbourne - Similar to K/M, Don/Ash have been flying after coming through the 'weaker' group, only have three losses all season, two to Kildalkeys seconds (one in a league final) and one to K/M. NOM were shaky to start the season but have looked fairly solid since they've clicked. You would have to imagine they've been pucking away to prevent rustiness, because if they haven't then Don/Ash will be like a train.
Give me Don/Ash AET again by one

SUNDAY
SHC SF
Kildalkey vs Kiltale - like with the other semi final, it's a repeat of a round robin game which was fairly one-sided and I'm going for a similar situation - though I don't think it'll be as wide a gap as the 14 points from a few weeks back. Kildalkey by eight

JHC Final
Kildalkey vs St Pats - Stamullen have been going up and up in the last couple of years and will progress to their probably right level of IHC regardless of what happens here. However, I still think that the idea of a Championship medal - and revenge for what happened last year at JHC2 - will drive them on to an upset win. St Pats by one

Wouldnt be surprised to see Ratoath turning over Trim, seems a lot of stories about Trim losing lots of players to traveling and emigration, very odd to go travelling when it seemed the senior championsship was theirs to lose. They went 20 years without winning it i thought they would want to go and do 3 or 4 in a row.

Kildlakey by 10 points v Kiltale there a pale shadow without the Ryans

St Pats and Kilskyre/Moylagh should familiarize them selves with the temporary sub rule on Sat. Its a rule that has been abused before. Keep an eye on players coming on for head injuries as they can still play the following day.

Have heard the same stories and your point is completely off. No members of the panel have gone ' travelling'. They have lost players to jobs and college abroad. Some things in life come before GAA and I know other members of there panel respect that.
Predictions : Trim by 6, Kildalkey by 8, Kildalkey inters by 3, Navan inters by 5, St Pats by 2

That is a completely scandalous accusation. Players welfare should always come first.

Be foolish not to take advantage of the loophole in fairness.

Sour grapes, you hate to see a club going well. If you have proof of any wrong doing, bring it on. An absolute unfounded accusation.

How did Saturday go for you @foley91 ? Anything to report on the Kildalkey substitutions?
