Hurling is non existent in Ballinabrackey, or at least I've never heard of anyone coming to Killyon to play.

As someone else said about Coolronan, Clonard is part of Killyon's catchment area but there's not a whole lot of interest in hurling. A good few from there have played underage in recent years but there's only one player from there on the Killyon senior panel.

Just seen the fixtures for next weekend. How have the committee put the same ref in again for Kildalkey v Trim after what happened the last time he reffed them. My god, whose brain fart was that? Or what is the method to their madness with this appointment?

Doesn't appear to be a lot of interest in football either. Just saying.

Calm down , refs were swapped . What else do you want , want to ref it yourself ?

Within a half an hour they were swapped and you had already posted giving out about original referee.

Kildalkey will need everything to go their way if they are to beat trim Saturday. Ratoath in same boat if they are to beat kiltale.

Some good games to look forward to , should be entertaining weekend of hurling !!

Should be a good weekends entertainment alright. Trim and Kildalkey will be the pick of it as think the ref will be busy in this one. Kildalkey may want to keep their noses clean as last time when they turned pure dirty they just woke trim up.

Hard to see kildalkey beating trim. trim out of football now so they will be fully focused. I would give ratoath a chance to get very close to kiltale.

According to posters on this forum, Kildalkey are in a bad place. 3 teams fielded in 2022. 3 semi-finals. It must be great judging other teams, when your team is out a long time ago. Kildalkey have won 5 Jubilees since 2009.It would take an idiot to write them off. Knockout is a different animal.

Thankfully matches are played on the pitch and not on this forum. Look back at last years predictions. The same lads putting Kildalkey down. To say, Kildalkey will want to keep their noses clean this time, as they came in dirty ladt match, is completely scandalous. Stick to facts and not bigoted opinions, we might have some serious debate.

To more pressing matters:

Trim v Kildakey: It is hard to see past Trim based on the championship so far, should have beaten Kiltale and they were down Toher and Cullen. It could be a dog fight but i see Trim taking it by 5/6.

Ratoath v Kiltale: Was an interesting game up in Trim in the group stage, Kiltale just proving again that they have the cutting edge which could be vital. I suspect the Ratoath backs will be under pressure and Kiltale to take it by 4.

Kiltale by 5, Ratoath's QF would have done them no favours. Can see Kildalkey and Trim being a humdinger. Trim AET.

I can see only see Kiltale and Trim wins here. Kiltale are much better than Ratoath and should be 10 points ahead by full time. Much the same with Trim. I can see them knocking 4 goals past Kildalkey and beating them easy like they did a few weeks back

Think Kiltale havent really upped the gears yet so expecting slow start but expect them to get over the line by 3/4 points in the end.

The Kildalkey/Trim game will be closer than what people think. Think this one will come down to a free taking festival so i expect it to be a win by the minimum. Trim to prevail as more scorers across the park in my opinion

Cant see Kildalkey concedeing 4 goals against Trim, didnt Trim get just 3 goals in group game? On form its hard to see anything but a Trim win, played 4 times this year and Trim won all 4 easily enough. But as someone posted its knock out and Kildalkey know they have been poor all year in senior and this is a shot at redemption. I expect a massive perfermonance but whether that will be enough is hard to know. Trim will be very hungry after losing their crown last year to Kildalkey and Trim seem to play above themselves against Kildalkey.

If Kildalkey play like they did in semi final and final last year they can win it, but they havent shown that form al year and it will take a huge effort. I wonder will thier involvement in the intermediate semi before it leave things messy. If they win will they take any players off it if going poor against Trim. Surely you coudlnt not start Conor Kearney on Saturday in senior but then how do you expect a player to play two huge matches one after the other. I would love to see him sit out the intermediate and start against Trim in senior. I think if Kildalkey get off to a good start v Trim they could rattle them and the longer they stay in the game the more Trim may get nervous but if Kildakey dont start their best team and go 5 or 6 points behind early they wont come back and could be a long night.

Kiltale v Ratoath ; Kiltale will win pulling up. Hard to see them not winning the championship v trim or kildalakey

Don't agree, think they rely heavily on Murray/Douglas, but that could be enough.

what happens in the event that Trim v Kildalkey ends in a draw tomorrow evening? i presume a replay the following saturday? daylight wont allow for extra time tomorrow evening, with a 5:30 throw in it would be very close to 7 pm before extra time starts, giving 15 min break at half time and 10 mins break usually at end of full time, usually 3 mins break at half time in extra time and 3 mins on average injury time in both halves that would be near 7:40 when game is over black dark at 7:40 this evening.
