It's that time of the year again. News today of Lar Wall finishing up with Gaeil Colmcille Kells, an 80% win record is an extraordinary feat. What other clubs are on the look out for new management this year?

With club finishing late this year, it's going to be a race to get new management in place for some clubs. It'll be another weeks plus before some clubs know if they will be playing Senior, Intermediate or Junior. It's going to be tricky. But I'm sure the same faces will be on the circuit looking for roles - Gordon Ward, Leo Turley, Eamon Barry, Mike McHale, Davy Byrne perhaps, Michael Johnson, Davy Cahill, Tony Kearney, Ger Robinson, Ciaran Byrne, would Bernard Flynn try his hand at club?

Longwood also in the lookout. Haven't heard of many new appointments so will be a busy few weeks.

Official answer, his expenses. Practical answer, it depends on the club's Lotto.

I'd say Summerhill will also be looking for a new manager, they'll hardly keep the guy they have at the moment, considering they've one of the best forward lines in the county but the chosen tactics have them defending in their own half

Without a doubt. They have a very good team and seemed to go backwards this year. This manager was playing extremely defensive football with Ballinabrackey ten years ago when defensive football was really taking off.

Bernard Flynn managing a club team? Are you joking me! Far to much work involved in that for him.

Spoke to someone in in Kells I heard McHale is interviewing for the Vacant management job with Dudley Turley helping out . . Benny Reddy also in the running !! Bit of Dunshaughlin flavour up in North Meath If McHale is successful with King managing Drumbaragh . . Will the Cilles go for the old school Tried & Trusted in Benny or younger dynamic coach in McHale ?? I know who id be backing in Tullys

Was Barry Dardis not injured all year ?

In fairness Summerhill really missed him against Ratoath especially with the free taking. Ran Ratoath very close who were at full strength, The tones played a ratoath team missing some key players but you need a certain amount of luck to win games and championships.

Agree but Tones would have beaten Ratoath regardless i think, they were far superior on the day, Ratoarh are very lack lustre compared to 2019

new manager all day long, Manager living in the past with the defensive structures he had in place. That style wont win anything. Great forwards in Summerhill, just poor team set up.
