Former Louth manager Colin Kelly has become the new front-runner to succeed Andy McEntee as Antrim’s next senior football manager.

It comes after former Derry star Paddy Bradley, who had been the leading candidate, withdrew his name for the race to become the Saffrons’ new supremo.

BelfastLive.co.uk reports that Bradley took himself out of the running last week.

Drogheda native Kelly, who also had a stint in charge of Westmeath and is currently managing Kingscourt Stars in Cavan, now leads the race with former Kildare and Meath coach Colm Nally possibly joining his ticket.

Others to be linked with the role since McEntee stood down from it in June are current Cargin manager Ronan Devlin, former Antrim forward Kevin Madden and ex-Queen’s University boss Anthony McGrath.
