Mayo will be playing their league hurling in Division 2 next season thanks to a 4-15 to 2-15 victory over Wicklow in Aughrim this afternoon.

Joe Burke’s goal helped the visitors towards a 1-9 to 0-6 lead at the break and Liam Lavin, Cormac Phillips and Sean Kenny (penalty) bagged the Westerners’ goals after the change of ends to cement the win.

It means that Mayo will face fellow promotion winners London in the Division 3 final next Saturday, March 29th, with fixture details to be confirmed.

Elsewhere in the Allianz Hurling League’s third tier, London picked up their sixth consecutive win after seeing off Armagh by 2-15 to 0-10 at the BOX-IT Athletic Grounds.

Meanwhile, Roscommon ensured their survival with a hard fought win against already relegated Sligo (2-14 to 2-13) at King & Moffatt Dr Hyde Park, where Cathal Kenny’s late goal proved crucial for the hosts, as the Yeats men are now set to be joined by Cavan in Division 4 in 2026.
