Dunboyne defeated St. Colmcilles in the Division 1 final at Ashbourne

Now in its second year the Under 19 Football League has grown in popularity.

The competition consisted of four divisions and came to a conclusion with the Division 1 final.

In a repeat of the 2023 Minor Football Championship Division 1 final, won by St. Peters, Dunboyne came out on top with seven points to spare under lights at Ashbourne. Harry Healy and Conor Murphy registered a combined total of 11 points. The minor champions from two years ago will be the team to beat come championship time later on in the year. Match Report. Wolfe Tones had four points to spare over Trim in an exciting Division 2 final played at a splendid Pairc Bailie Gibb. The home side led at the break 1-4 to 0-4 and looked well on their way to victory after Rian Fox added 1-1 early in the second half. Trim had other ideas and had the lead down to a single score as extra time approached but Alex McKeever sent over the insurance point before the full time whistle. Match Report. A first half scoring blitz saw Slane overcome the challenge of Summerhill at Toddy Harding Park. Goals from the impressive Ethan Harding, James Grogan, Sean Duffy, Conor Duffy and Alex O’Neill set the home side up for a comfortable 6-12 to 2-8 win. Match Report. Bective got their hands on early silverware with a comfortable win over Drumconrath Meath Hill. With senior star David Donnelly controlling the middle of the park the team in Green and White led 2-6 to 0-4 at half time.
