Kerry senior footballer Donal O’Sullivan has transferred from Kilgarvan to neighbouring club Kenmare Shamrocks.

The transfer was ratified by the Kerry CCC on Tuesday night after the talented dual player – who lives in Kenmare – met the 48-week residency rule. By not lining out for his native club last year, O’Sullivan has been cleared to play alongside Seanie O’Shea and recently-retired Kerry star Stephen O’Brien in a strong Kenmare senior side. He previously played with divisional outfit East Kerry in their run to the 2023 SFC semi-final.

O’Sullivan’s move comes on the back of former Cork midfielder Aidan Walsh’s transfer from his native Kanturk to An Ghaeltacht in West Kerry.
