Tipperary football boss Philly Ryan has said his team “won’t drop the heads” after their surprise loss to London in Thurles.
The Premier men went down to the Exiles on a 2-13 to 0-17 scoreline at the weekend, with Liam Gallagher’s two-pointer at the death proving the difference between the sides in the end.
The result dealt a blow to promotion hopes for Tipp as they slipped to the first defeat of their league campaign, with Wexford and Limerick now ahead of them in the Division 4 table.
“We’re hugely disappointed but you have to remember three lads got their first starts today again," he told TippFM Sport.
“Over the course of the last few games we’ve had nine lads who’ve started their first game for Tipp.
“This is a working progress, it’s going to take a while. I did say previously that I felt we outboxed ourselves so we’re going to have to work at it, we’ll go in Tuesday night and we’ll have another go.
“We won’t drop the heads and we’ll keep plugging away.”
