Rathgormack manager Kenny Hassett suggested that the underdogs rarely get the big decisions after his side’s agonising Munster club SFC semi-final loss to Dr Crokes.
The Waterford champions had reason to feel aggrieved after a free-out instead of a free-in was given against substitute Francis Roche in the final minute of the one-point defeat at Fraher Field. Their frustration was further compounded by a first half free count of 11-3 against them.
"José Mourinho once said 'if I speak, I'll be in trouble.' Look, you're bringing it up with me so it's obviously a conversation that's been had in the pressbox," Hassett told reporters afterwards.
" I thought Francis Roche at the end should have had a free. He was going down on a ball and two lads converged on him.
"Look, maybe the small counties don't tend to get these decisions sometimes. I don't know. I did speak so hopefully I don't get in trouble!"
