Tony Browne is a high-profile addition to Ken McGrath's Waterford U20 hurling management for 2025.

Browne replaces another former Hurler of the Year, Dan Shanahan, as coach in a set-up that also includes Andy Moloney and Kevin Moran. Shanahan is part of the new Waterford senior management team headed up by Peter Queally.

Browne had assisted Tipperary manager Liam Cahill for the past two years.

Also at last night's county board meeting in Dungarvan, James O'Connor was reappointed minor hurling manager, while Paul Power (Rathgormack) and Eddie Mulligan (De La Salle) were ratified as U20 and minor football managers respectively.

Meanwhile, Darren Gleeson's appointment as Laois senior hurling manager was also rubberstamped last night.
