There will be a strong LGFA involvement in next weekend's AFLW Grand Final between North Melbourne and the Brisbane Lions.

In this weekend's AFLW Preliminary finals (last four), North Melbourne defeated Port Adelaide 78-21, while defending champions Brisbane accounted for the Adelaide Crows by 50-32.

North Melbourne have four Irish players in their ranks - Erika O'Shea (Cork), Vikki Wall (Meath), Niamh Martin (Tipperary) and Blaithin Bogue (Fermanagh) - while Brisbane have Orla O'Dwyer (Tipperary) and Jennifer Dunne (Dublin).

North Melbourne will host Brisbane in next Saturday's Grand Final at Ikon Park.
