Derry's four-month search for a senior football manager goes on after plans to include Rory Gallagher in Enda Muldoon's proposed ticket were reportedly scrapped.
Rumours were rife ahead of last night's Management Committee meeting that former star forward Muldoon was set to be recommended as Mickey Harte's replacement with ex-manager Gallagher as coach. But it's understood that this won't be happening now, leaving the Oak Leafers no closer to appointing a manager for 2025.
The reigning Allianz League champions remain the only county without a football manager ahead of the new season, with the position having been vacant since Mickey Harte stepped down after just one season in charge on July 8 last.
