Darragh Canavan is facing a race against time to be fit for the Tyrone SFC final on Sunday week.

The county star suffered a shoulder injury in the early stages of Errigal Ciaran’s dramatic 1-12 to 2-8 semi-final victory over Killyclogher last Sunday, but managed to play on until the 50th minute when he was eventually withdrawn.

Errigal Ciaran manager Enda McGinley admitted afterwards that the playmaker is touch-and-go for the O’Neill Cup decider against holders Trillick. Ruairi Canavan and county team captain Peter Harte contributed 0-5 and 1-2 respectively against Killyclogher, with the latter kicking the winner at the death.
