Br Bosco Cup and Corn Uí Dhúill groupings revealed

With the new school year almost upon us, the groups for the 2025/26 Leinster Post Primary Schools Senior ‘A’ Football and Hurling Championships have been announced.

In football’s Br Bosco Cup, holders Coláiste Mhuire, Mullingar are in Group 5 along with St Peter’s College, Dunboyne and Patrician SS, Newbridge. Group 1 comprises Ardscoil na Trínoide, Athy, St Patrick’s Classical School, Navan, Moate CS and St Benildus College, Group 2 consists of Scoil Mhuire, Clane, Coláiste Eoin and Ardee CS, while Group 3 includes St Mary’s SS, Edenderry, Good Counsel, New Ross and Terenure College.

The schools in Group 4 are St Mary’s Knockbeg College, Coláiste Choilm, Tullamore and St Fintan’s HS, Sutton. Group 6 is made up of Scoil Aodháin, recent three-in-a-row winners Naas CBS and St Joseph’s SS, Rochfortbridge, while Group 7 features Marist College, Athlone, Ardscoil Rís, St Mel’s College, Longford and Malahide CS.

The groups are run on a round-robin basis, with the top two teams advancing to preliminary quarter-finals. The first group matches are slated for October 14.

There is also a separate section for group teams. These include holders Maynooth Education Campus, Meath Schools, Offaly Schools and Wicklow Schools.

In hurling’s Corn Uí Dhúill, holders St Kieran’s College are in Group 1 with Kilkenny CBS and Good Counsel, New Ross. Group 2 is made up of Coláiste Mhuire, Johnstown, St Fintan’s HS, Sutton and Coláiste Mhuire, Johnstown, while St Mary’s CBS, Enniscorthy, Coláiste Eoin and St Peter’s, Wexford are in Group 3.

Combined schools from Dublin North, Dublin South, Westmeath, Offaly, Laois and Meath will also take part.
