Kildare forward Alex Beirne is set to miss Sunday’s Allianz Football League fourth round clash against Cavan due to suspension.
The Lilywhites attacker was sent off in last weekend defeat to Derry and has failed to get the red card he received overturned in an appeal to the Central Hearings Committee (CHC).
Beirne was dismissed in the 25th minute of his side’s loss to the Oak Leafers in Newbridge after an incident that left Derry defender Gareth McKinless on the ground.
The Naas clubman remains suspended for Brian Flanagan’s side’s trip to Kingspan Breffni this weekend as they look to pick up their second win of the Division 2 campaign.
