Kerry great Colm Cooper reckons Armagh have firepower to capture the county’s first Ulster senior football championship since 2008.
Kieran McGeeney’s charges passed their second test of the provincial campaign yesterday evening by seeing off a wasteful Cavan side on a 1-14 to 0-12 score-line at a rain-soaked Kingspan Breffni.
Speaking on The Saturday Game afterwards, Cooper said he felt the right ingredients were there in attack for the Orchard men to end their 15-year wait for the Anglo-Celt Cup.
"I think so," said the five-time All-Ireland winner when asked if Armagh can deliver an Ulster title this season.
"There has been huge pressure on Rian O’Neill and we talk about him all the time, whether he plays inside or outside.
"Conor Turbitt showed today, and he showed in the last number of games that he can be the score-getter inside, and I think Andrew Murnin is the perfect foil for him.
"If they continue to get a spread of scorers they are going to be right in the mix."
