Pat O'Shea has stepped down as Dr Crokes manager in the wake of last month's heartbreaking All-Ireland club SFC semi-final loss to Errigal Ciarán.

The former Kerry manager returned to the Crokes' hotseat this time last year for a third time and led them to a club and county SFC double at Dingle's expense. This came after after they failed to reach the knockout stages of the Bishop Moynihan Cup last year. Crokes went on to beat Loughmore-Castleiney in the Munster club SFC final before coming up agonisingly short against Errigal.

O'Shea won an All-Ireland Club SFC medal as a player in 1992 before repeating the feat as manager of the famous Killarney club in 2017. In his first spell as Crokes manager, he them to the 2006 All-Ireland Club SFC final which they lost to Crossmaglen Rangers after a replay. He then took over Kerry and guided them to Sam Maguire glory in 2007.
