Fundraising for the Clare hurlers’ holiday fund has raised €430,911 to date.

The impressive figure was revealed at this week’s county board meeting. The Banner players will fly out to Miami and Nashville this Sunday for a 10 night-break as a reward for winning an All-Ireland SHC and Allianz League double this year.

Central to the fundraising efforts was a well-attended exhibition match between Brian Lohan’s men and the TUS Club All-Stars at Cusack Park on November 3 last. The Club All-Stars were managed by two-time All-Ireland winning manager and captain Ger Loughnane and Anthony Daly respectively, along with Terence Fahy and David Hoey.
