Steven Sherlock is the latest player to withdraw his services from the Cork senior football panel ahead of the new season.
An All-Star nominee in 2022 and the Rebels’ leading scorer under John Cleary’s tenure, the St Finbarr’s forward has opted to take a year out, according to RTÉ. Sherlock’s departure comes on the back of the retirements of John O’Rourke and Killian O’Hanlon, as well as defender Kevin Flahive’s move to Australia.
Panellist Damien Gore has also decided to take a year out from the inter-county scene.
