Conor Kinsella lined out for the Wexford U20 footballers on Saturday, just a week after the tragic death of his father Billy.
The brave Kilanerin youngster, whose nickname is ‘Scholesy’, helped the Model County to victory over Tipperary in their Andrew Corden Cup game and received a standing ovation from his team-mates and friends afterwards.
Billy, who was killed when a tree fell on him while he was trying to clear debris from a road during Storm Eunice, would no doubt have been very proud of his son.
