Limerick had a four-point cushion over Kilkenny at half-time in this afternoon's All-Ireland SHC final at Croke Park, with a return of 1-3 from Gearoid Hegarty's a key ingredient for the reigning All-Ireland champions as they lead by 1-17 to 0-16 in a high-scoring contest.
The St Patrick's clubman gave goalkeeper Eoin Murphy no chance when he blasted to the net in the fourth minute after a long delivery from his side's shot-stopper Nickie Quaid.
