The facilities at Ballinlough GFC and Kilskyre Hurling Club are set to get a whole lot better when two new community developments are completed next year. The two projects will have a combined value of 1.1 million euro.
Ballinlough have already one of the best pitches and walking tracks in the province and are set to extend their dressing rooms to include a large multi-purpose room, a full gym, disability friendly shower & toilet facilities, an elevated viewing area, and a kitchen area for you to enjoy a mug of tea with friends and family.
Kilskyre HC’s modest dressing rooms have remained unchanged for decades but that is all set to change with the construction of a new development which will include modern dressing rooms, a community lounge and kitchen area on the ground floor with multi-purpose rooms on the first floor.
Kilskyre's project will benefit the community at large.
The key attraction to this new development will be an indoor astro (40x20mtr) that can cater for 5-a-side, winter training, athletics, racket games, bowls, kids parties and much more!
The building will be installed with high speed broadband so remote hot-desking, training courses and other educational and social initiatives are very much a possibility.
Both projects will get underway when Covid restrictions ease and are expected to be complete in early 2022.
