Pat Sullivan has been named as the new Cork senior ladies football manager.

The Dungarvan native takes over from Joe Carroll after spending the last two seasons in charge of Kildare. He was appointed for a three-year term at Monday night’s county board meeting and will have former Cork dual star Eoin Cadogan involved in his backroom team to provide gym support.

The new management also includes football coach Noel O’Connor (Inch Rovers), selector / support coach Sandra Conroy (Mourneabbey) and lead S&C coach Ciaran Burke. Sullivan was previously involved with the Rebels when Ephie Fitzgerald managed them to a Lidl National League Division 1 title in 2019.

Kildare made successive All-Ireland quarter-final appearances on Sullivan’s watch.
