Wicklow have moved quickly to fill their senior hurling manager vacancy following Casey O'Brien's resignation last week.
Former county and Glenealy star Jonathan ‘Bosco’ O’Neill has been appointed to the role for the remainder of the season after O'Brien and his backroom team stepped down en bloc last Friday.
O'Neill, who previously guided Wicklow to an All-Ireland U21 'B' title in 2015, has little time to prepare for his first game which is against Donegal in the opening round of the Allianz Hurling League at Aughrim this Sunday.
TweetThe Wicklow GAA Management Committee has appointed Jonathan "Bosco" O'Neill as the Wicklow Hurling team's manager for the remainder of the 2024 season. Jonathan enjoyed a successful playing career for both Glenealy and his county.
