Ukraine needs our support

As the war in Ukraine worsens, calls are growing for GAA clubs to make their facilities available to refugees from the eastern European country.

At last night's Offaly county board meeting, one delegate urged GAA clubs to make their dressing-rooms and halls available as emergency accommodation. Over 2,000 people who have fled Ukraine have already arrived in Ireland, with about 640 of them staying in hotels.

A number of GAA clubs around the country are supporting the Ukrainian people in their hour of need by holding relief appeals.
