Team news: Cooper replaces Small in Dubs' defence

May 29, 2021

Jonny Cooper is named to start at centre-back for Dublin against Galway

Dublin have named their starting 15 for tomorrow’s Allianz Football League third round clash against Galway in Tuam.

The only change to last week’s starting line-up against Kerry sees Jonny Cooper come in for the All-Ireland champions at centre-back for John Small.

Small limped off with a hamstring problem in the drawn encounter in Thurles six days ago.

Otherwise, the Dubs stay the same with goal merchant Con O’Callaghan named to start on ‘the 40’ and Ciaran Kilkenny leading the attack from full-forward.

Throw-in at Tuam Stadium is at 3.45pm.

Dublin (FL1 v Galway): Evan Comerford; Mick Fitzsimons, Davy Byrne, Sean McMahon; Eoin Murchan, Jonny Cooper, Robert McDaid; Brian Fenton, James McCarthy; Tom Lahiff, Con O’Callaghan, Niall Scully; Paddy Small, Ciaran Kilkenny, Cormac Costello
