Tony McEntee will remain in charge of the Sligo senior footballers for another two years.

The 2002 All-Ireland SFC winner with Armagh, who has already served four years as manager, guided the Yeats County to an Allianz League Division 4 title in 2023 and to Tailteann Cup semi-final appearances in 2022 and ’24. They came within a whisker of beating All-Ireland finalists Galway in this year’s Connacht SFC before losing to Down after extra-time in the Tailteann Cup semi-final.

Meanwhile, Paul Henry will continue as Sligo U20 football manager for a third season, while Stephen Shiel and Barry Keenan are staying on as respective senior and U20 hurling managers. It’s understood that all four managers will make changes to their management teams ahead of the new season.
