As part of its expansion into Ireland, talkSport is introducing two new GAA-themed shows.
Already boasting over 100,000 Irish listeners each month, the UK-based radio station plans to build on its exclusive rights to air Saturday Premier League matches with a number of new shows, including ‘Beyond: the 45’ and ‘Beyond: the 65’. The Gaelic football programme will be hosted by Mayo legend Lee Keegan and Tyrone great Owen ‘Mugsy’ Mulligan, while Tipperary’s John ‘Bubbles’ O’Dwyer and current Wexford star Conor McDonald will present the hurling show.
The station will be launched next month.
talkSPORT Ireland editor Luke Delaney, formerly of FM104, said: “We’re thrilled to announce the launch of talkSPORT Ireland and build on the success we have already had with our exclusive Premier League audio rights every Saturday, which we have recently renewed for a further four years.
“We have an exciting couple of weeks ahead with the release of our brand new shows, featuring some of Ireland’s biggest sporting names.”
