Oisín McConville expects to see his nephew Rian O’Neill back in the Armagh colours soon.
Concerns about O’Neill’s availability over the coming weeks and months were raised after Armagh manager Kieran McGeeney revealed after last Saturday night’s Allianz League opening round defeat to Galway that the Crossmaglen star was ‘taking time out’.
But speaking to ‘The GAA Social’, McConville had no such concerns and actually felt the break could be a blessing in disguise for O’Neill.
"I imagine he'll be back in sooner rather than later," the Wicklow manager said.
"The more he's able to stay away for whatever length of time it takes and to go back in and be fully committed (the better) because if you're not fully committed in an inter-county set-up then you're going to get found out."
