Pat Sullivan has been appointed as the new Kildare senior ladies football manager.

Sullivan previously had two separate three-year spells in charge of Waterford. The appointment comes almost two months after Diane O'Hora stepped down from the role.

The former Mayo star coached the Lilywhites for one year and managed them for the last two, winning Leinster and All-Ireland intermediate titles and also promotion from Division 3 to Division 1 of the Lidl National League. Kildare retained their All-Ireland senior status with a playoff win over neighbours Laois this summer.
