Tommy Durnin will make his first start of the season for Louth against Derry in Ardee on Saturday afternoon.

Manager Gavin Devlin has named his team early for the crucial Allianz Football League Division 2 encounter and it is notable for the inclusion of Durnin at midfield after the Westerns clubman came off the bench in the Wee County's last two games.

However, with Tadhg McDonnell and Ciarán Downey dropping to the subs, and Pádraic Tinnelly, Craig Lennon and Ryan Burns not included in the 26-man panel after starting the Wee County's emphatic win over Cavan a fortnight ago, changes to the line-up are expected come match day.

Louth (SF v Derry): Niall McDonnell; Emmett Carolan, Dermot Campbell, Daire Nally; Conall McKeever, Dara McDonnell, Eoghan Callaghan; Tommy Durnin, Conor Early; Paul Mathews, Sam Mulroy, Conor Grimes; Ciaran Keenan, Conall McCaul, Kieran McArdle.

Subs: Tiernan Markey, Conor Branigan, Sean Callaghan, Sean Reynolds, James Maguire, Anthony Williams, Darragh Dorian, Leonard Gray, Tadhg McDonnell, Donal McKenny, Ciaran Downey.
