Having been at the two semi finals the weekend if this is supposedly the best four teams left then i really fear for Cavan football going forward, the standard was very poor and more defensive football really is a sight for sore eyes.

Have to agree with you on this. I also attended the games at the weekend and although I suppose they kept you interested as to who was going to come out on top, the standard was certainly poor. I have a feeling the local paper headlines in a couple of weeks will again read " Ulster glory still awaits Cavan club champions"

The county board must be the greediest shower in the country. Charging €13 into semi finals and junior finals twice. There is no where else in the country charging these prices into games and replays.
Tipperary had a weekend deal a few weeks back where €20 got you into as many games as you wanted over a weekend so you could of went to 5 or 6 if you wanted.

I have to agree with you terrible stuff all round. I think the pick of them was Croserlough v Gowna.

I totally agree with you.

The standard of the semi final was shocking. Yes, they were close games but in terms of quality football there was a big lack of it on show. Mickey Graham attended one of them and I doubt he was too pleased with what he seen.
It could be a long 60 minutes for the Cavan champions when they meet the Derry champions in the first round of Ulster.

I think everyone at the crosserlough v gowna game would say gowna were very lucky to get another day out. I think poor refereeing decisions cost Crosserlough and the small pitch in Cootehill wont suit them either.

Looking forward to 3 good games this weekend. Castlerahan & Crosserlough to advance in the replays. My money is on Crosserlough to win it out!

Cuchullians to win the Intermediate by 3 or 4. Bit more experience in their team i think will tell and they have more big game players.

Agreed

Whoever wins it out, it'll be the first time they've won it, in a long time if not ever.

Similar to Ramor a couple of years back, the celebrations will take precedent and the 1st round of ulster will be a bonus.

Shame, as Derry club football is dour and Sloughtneil have been eliminated.

Castlerahan and Lavey match was much higher quality than the other semi, Crosserlough and Gowna resembled an intermediate match. Winners of Castlerahan and Lavey will win the final by 3+.

Any of the four teams will struggle in Ulster. With no experience of it ever its a massive task.

Wouldnt it be great if Lavey from Cavan met Lavey from Derry in the first round. You'd have to fancy Lavey to win that one.

Lavey might rue not taking their goal chances, should have had 4 goal but poor finishing let them down. Overall all 4 teams were poor and Mickey Graham has a job on his hands that I wouldn't envy

I personally thought the Crosserlough V Gowna was the best of the two but again everyone to their own opinion. Regarding Ulster I feel for any off them it will be a huge ask to even get near a half decent result. Goals up in Breifni so almost ready for Sunday.

I struggled with a goalie to be honest, Was a toss up between Donal Monaghan & Darragh Brady in the half back line. I also haven't seen a number of teams play like Buttlersbridge, Arva, Belturbet, Denn &Mountnugent so you can take this selection as incomplete :)

Could only make one game today and was a the game in Kingscourt. What a game of football considering weather conditions.
