Crossmaglen Rangers produced a remarkable comeback to defeat Gowna by 1-22 to 2-18 at Kingspan Breffni tonight and book their place in the Ulster club SFC semi-finals.
Shane Lennon’s side trailed by 11 points early in the second-half after Ryan Donohoe’s goal, having gone in at the break 1-13 to 1-5 behind.
Cian McConville’s first-half goal had kept Armagh kingpins in contention after Conor Madden had punched in at the other end, while Oisin O’Neill, Rian O’Neill and Pearse Blessing led the charge with crucial scores.
The visitors gradually clawed their way back, with Oisin O'Neill landing a superb two-point free before sub Seamus Teelan edged them in front.
Donohoe’s late two-pointer looked to have swung momentum back towards the Cavan champions, but Blessing responded to keep Crossmaglen within touching distance.
With the game on the line, Oisin O'Neill played a short free to Rian O’Neill, who struck a dramatic last-gasp two-pointer to seal a famous victory (watch it below).
The result ends Crossmaglen’s wait for an Ulster championship win since 2018, completing a sensational turnaround for the 11-time provincial champions.
