Tyrone’s Conor McKenna came off the bench as Brisbane Lions thrashed Sydney Swans 120-60 in today’s AFL Grand Final.

McKenna joins Tadhg Kennelly in the exclusive club of All-Ireland and AFL champions, having lifted the Sam Maguire Cup with the Red Hands in 2021.

The Eglish clubman was introduced as a substitute in the final quarter at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, winning two marks and having three kick disposals in the Lions’ double scores victory over the Swans.

The triumph saw the Lions banishing their ghost from last year’s Grand Final defeat to Collingwood, as it marked their first Premiership since the three-in-a-row they achieved in 2003.

"Losing last year by a kick [and] to come home like we did, I'm so proud of this club and this group," said Lions co-captain Lachie Neale stated after the game.
