Former Armagh footballer Jack Grugan has transferred from Ballymacnab to Tuam Stars.

A younger brother of Rory, who ironically helped Armagh to victory over Galway in this year’s All-Ireland SFC final, Jack recently took up a teaching post at the famed St Jarlath’s College in Tuam and has decided to throw in his lot with the local club.

An exciting attacking talent, Grugan’s arrival is sure to give the Stars a boost ahead of their upcoming Galway SFC preliminary quarter-final against Mountbellew-Moylough.

Already through to the quarter-finals are Salthill-Knocknacarra, Moycullen, Annaghdown and holders Corofin.

Meanwhile, former Corofin and Galway forward Ian Burke has transferred to Fulham Irish in London.
