Ex-Tyrone forward Paul Donaghy was in red-hot form for his club Dungannon Thomas Clarkes last night as they defeated Trillick to move to the top of the All-County League Division 1 table.

Dungannon recorded a 0-25 to 0-17 victory over the hosts, with their ace attacker Donaghy contributing a remarkable 0-20 tally over the hour at Páirc Uí Dhonnaile.

The Clarkes’ number 15 shot the lights out by hitting nine two-pointers inside the game’s opening 40 minutes and he’d add two more singles to those as the league champions won out by eight points in the end.

The result sees Dungannon leaping Trillick to the top of the Division 1 table, as they now sit on 22 points with the St McCartan’s club on 21 points and Loughmacrory and county champions Errigal Ciaran both sitting on 19 points.
