Tipperary kept themselves a point behind Allianz Football League Division 4 leaders Wexford thanks to a 1-14 to 0-9 victory over Waterford.
After yesterday’s original fixture was postponed due to an unplayable pitch at Fraher Field, Dungarvan, the sides met this afternoon at Walsh Park where Sean O’Connor’s early goal set the tone in what turned out to be a comfortable win for the visitors.
Oisin McConville’s Wicklow side also registered their second win of the campaign by seeing off Longford on a 2-15 to 0-12 scoreline in Aughrim.
The hosts’ goals came from Chris O’Brien and Joe Prendergast in either half as they dealt the Midlanders their second defeat.
In Ruislip, Limerick claimed their first league win of the season at the expense of London.
It finished 1-16 to 0-11 at McGovern Park, where Andrew Meade bagged the game’s only goal for the Shannonsiders in the opening minute.
