The Christy Ring, Nickey Rackard and Lory Meagher Cup final pairings have been confirmed following this afternoon’s following this afternoon’s fifth round clashes in the hurling tiered competitions.
Meath’s 0-24 to 0-18 victory over Sligo at Markievicz Park sees them through to a Christy Ring Cup final date with Derry whom recorded a 30-point score for the second week running when they defeated Mayo (0-30 to 1-11) in Owenbeg this afternoon.
In the Nickey Rackard Cup, Wicklow and Donegal are bound for a Croke Park final date next month after the two sides played out a close encounter in Letterkenny earlier today which saw the Garden men edging a 2-17 to 1-18 win.
Monaghan and Lancashire will contest this year’s Lory Meagher Cup final, with the Farney men having made their goals count in a 2-16 to 0-17 win against Longford in Cloghan and Lancashire doing likewise with a 5-13 to 3-17 victory over fellow exiles Warwickshire.
