Kildare senior hurling manager David Herity was ratified for another three years at the helm by the county board this evening, with a review after the 2023 season.
The Lilywhites were sent straight back down from the Joe McDonagh Cup to the Christy Ring Cup after winning promotion last year, but competed well as they made the step up to the second tier competition for the first time.
Herity's side also claimed the Division 2B title in 2021 and will ply their trade against Carlow, Down, Kerry, Meath and Westmeath in the Allianz Hurling League next time around.
Declan O'Toole and Paul Dermody will remain as part of the backroom team, while a third selector and coach will be added to the set-up in due course.
Meanwhile, Limerick native Eoin Stapleton takes over the U20 hurling manager's role vacated by Pat English.
Stapleton served as minor hurling boss for the past two years and that position will be filled by joint-managers Noel Ryan and Mark Moloney in 2022.
