Two Clare players have been ruled out of Allianz Hurling League action this weekend after being listed as close contacts of Wexford’s Covid-19 cases.
Wexford confirmed earlier this week that two members of the county’s senior hurling panel tested positive for the virus following last Sunday’s clash between the two counties.
Clare FM reports today that two members of the Banner County’s panel, who have not been identified by Clare, were informed by the HSE that they had been listed as close contacts by the Wexford camp.
Both were tested for Covid-19 on Thursday, with one negative result while the other is still awaiting on his result.
It rules both players out of Sunday’s trip to Portlaoise as Brian Lohan’s charges take on Laois in search of their first win in Division 1B. Throw-in at O’Moore Park is at 3.00pm.
