Sunday’s Leinster U20 hurling championship final is the latest fixture to be cancelled due to Covid-19 restrictions.
Last week, both the Leinster minor hurling and football finals were postponed after the move into Level 5 government restrictions and Leinster Council has this morning confirmed that the U20 decider between Dublin and Galway will now have to be played at a later date.
The Dubs and the Tribesmen were due to square off at O’Moore Park, Portlaoise on Sunday at 4.00pm, with the winners down to play Cork in the All-Ireland final on the weekend of January 9/10.
With the Ulster MFC semi-finals also being called off, it is understood that all of this weekend’s postponed fixtures will be played at the first available opportunity.
