Donegal GAA have responded to Naomh Colmcille's statement yesterday on their stance to temporarily suspend club related activities due to Covid-19 precautions.
The decision was made after Naomh Colmcille played a challenge match against one of the ten Derry clubs who have closed until further notice because of a reported spike in Covid-19 cases in the Limavady area.
The Newtowncunningham side stressed in their statement that no players or members have been been affected by the coronavirus. They also said that their Covid Supervisor has been working closely with the Donegal county board and the HSE.
While respecting their decision, Donegal GAA have moved to clarify the facts by saying the county board didn't give Naomh Colmcille guidance to suspend activities and that the club were following Covid-19 protocols and HSE advice.
