Here here. Now putting on my Meath hat, I will go to game should it come to pass , and fully expect Meath to not only compete but to win. That's what been a fan is all about, if not why bother??

I see the Meath men are discussing how many points they will lose to Dublin by...they must have beaten Laois already!

Fully expect Laois to have a serious rattle off Meath and wouldn't be in the slightest bit surprised if ye won it to be honest. Watched Meath on Sat evening in Portlaoise and saw nothing in particular that would make me think they are the leaders of the chasing pack in Leinster. If I'm proven wrong so be it but I think the final could well be a repeat of last years.

Replying To royaldunne:  "Jack got to say your prediction sounds very pessimistic, I believe Meath will reach Leinster final. But I'd put my house on Meath not getting beat by 16 points, actually I'd be very surprised if the loosing margin is double scores. That's not blind optimism (if I said Meath would win , that would be). That's stated in performances this year. Yes Dublin are at another level to us , but we a building a nice team. And do you honestly think our back six are that bad?? No. Yes we have problems at midfield. But I'm sorry while I agree with many of ur posts I find this disrespectful to the players, who have put in such a valiant and brilliant performances all year (yes blip v Offaly) . And I'll tell you one thing MEATH WILL MAKE SUPER 8s.
Hon the royal"
Dublin will beat Meath or Laois by more than they beat Louth. Mark my words.

No we haven't beaten Laois, that's a 50/50 game as far as I'm concerned.

What part of Dublin are you from yourself? Not many Laois posters on HS these days I'm afraid.

Really ?? One of ur 200 backroom team thought differently, after match he leaned over to me (from the reserved seats) and was asking plenty of questions about a certain james Conlon. I had a laugh with him and told him all will be revealed in Leinster final. They all were very impressed with him. Obviously he didn't meet ur high standards though.

Thought he was decent to be fair but not a hope he'd get that freedom against better opposition. I'll stand by my prediction that Laois will beat ye anyway and if not sure there will be a seriously rude awakening come the Leinster final.

There will be a rude awakening should we meet in Leinster final. But it won't be for Meath. :).

Ah god. That's cute.

Almost a shame we will absolute trounce you if we play you in the final. We will be there, lets see if you keep up your side of the deal. I expect you to, Then I expect loads of moral victories when we beat you by 15-20 pts.

There is the odd few here and there including myself but havent been on here in a while, generally go to gaaboards where a lot of the Laois chatter is.

Good win for us against Westmeath, the backs were fantastic the whole game through while Evan had a stormer!
Meath will rightly go in as favourites for the semi but i definately would expect us to give them a game. Its a far better test than last year where we went from playing Div4 teams the whole year (with the exception of Westmeath) before then finding ourselves in a Leinster Final against the Dubs.

If Meath win I would hope that they will at least give the Dubs a decent game, in theory the good year should stand to them and the more Leinster teams in Division 1 of the league the better (which is by far and away a better competition than the championship). I'm praying for someone to at least make a game of the Leinster Final for a change!
