Replying To Matthew:  "Clare v Meath off. I hope you are not on the road already RD? That's a long drive to Ennis!"
Luckily enough was far side of tullamore so not so bad, daughter was checking for updates on the phone when she said it's postponed, thought she was joking. Home again.

Replying To Donegal_abroad:  "Isn't the month of March during the league a bit early for these kinds of statements? I really hope you're right though, I would love if Meath could get back up the ladder and challenge Dublin in championship. We could have a Leinster championship again."
You see for Meath it's all about the month of March and the league, nothing else matters. The league has eclipsed the championship in all of Leinster (actually it has in every province imo, but some still hold onto the belief they can beat dubs ), and until we can get back into division 1 that won't change. Add to that the league is by far the best competition in gaa at the moment.

When will the Clare v Meath game get played now? The final round of fixtures are next weekend and then the div 2 league final the following weekend. Is there a chance it could be played tomorrow or Monday?

Looking at table Clare could beat Meath . And lose to tipp next week and go down due to head to head.
Or could lose Meath and beat tipp and stay up.

Hoping they thinking of latter

Massive turnaround by Donegal in the second half today. Great to be going into the last game with all to play for. Massive result for Armagh too, I gave them a chance but didn't expect that much of a win against what has been a very good Fermanagh defence.

The results went well for us today. A much improved display second half saw us take the points although the 7 point margin may have flattered us a wee bit.

We'll need to beat Kildare now which won't be easy and hope Meath beat Fermanagh.

Even if fermanagh beat meath the points scores difference should save us now. 2 results will determain the table. Donegal v Kildare and Clare v meath.

Am I right in saying that should Meath win both the matches and Kildare beat donegal it's meath and Kildare??

Wow just looking at the table there what a finish to a fantastic league, all 4 promotion chasing teams playing each other on last day. Now tell me that the league isn't better than the sham that is now championship? This is a great advertisement for gaa donegal and navan will be packed out next weekend, as Fermanagh face Meath and Kildare face donegal.

Watching Kildare is just surreal. Lost a game by a point to a Meath team last week who were 7/8 points better than us on the day & won a game today by a point against a Tipp team we were 7/8 points better than. Just do not know what to make of us at all.
Amazing that a win v donegal could still get us up.....but very hard to see it happening on our performances to date.

Just working that out Royaldunne. That's correct. Meath and Kildare will be promoted. But a big ask for Kildare after surrendering a 9 pt lead today. Two injury time points gave us the narrow win.
Down to the last game.I hope for the sake of Leinster football that we will both be promoted.

Indeed it would be excellent for Leinster to have 3 playing in top flight next year.

I think we might see Donegal's strongest starting 15 to date against Kildare next weekend. IT was no coincidence that when the likes of O'Baíoll (outstanding), McGrath and Murphy (from the start) were on the field that our performance improved drastically. It's looking a lit healthier for us now and without getting too carried away Bonner might have judged the league very well. If we can get to a league final against most probably Meath it'll be another good test ahead of Championship. With Paddy to come back as well I think we can look forward to the summer with renewed optimism.
