Championship
We played Ballymore in the first round last Saturday evening in Moate. Ballymore had the better start and led by 0-3 to 0-1 after fifteen minutes, but Ballinagore rallied and led at the break by 0-4 to 0-3. The second half saw the lead change hands a couple of times, and Ballinagore were in the ascendancy with minutes remaining, but Ballymore clinched a late equaliser to snatch a draw. Final score 0-9 a-piece. Team: Mark Doyle, Mark King, Martin Linnane, Pat Heduan, Dan Gavin, Michael Ennis 0-2 (1f), Paul Maloney, Stewart Gavin 0-2, Eoin Miller 3f, Brian Sheerin, Ciarán Carey (Capt.) 0-1, Christy Maloney 0-1, Cathal Ennis, Ian Seery, Michael Gannon. Subs used: Paddy Maloney, James Sheerin, Declan Claffey, Kieran Deegan. Rest of Panel: Robert Gannon, James Keegan, Kevin Gannon, Martin Crowe, Enda Claffey, Nollaig Gannon, David Pidgeon.

Under 8's
The Under 8 team played a blitz in Rochfortbridge last weekend where they were in action against Shandonagh, Tyrrellspass and St Mary's Rochfortbridge. Thank to the hosts for organising the event and well done to all the players and their mentors.

Under 16
The 16's had a great win over St Lomans in the league last weekend. They won by 3-10 to 1-8.

All Ireland Scór
Well done to all of the Westmeath acts who competed in Killarney last weekend, and especially Peter Dolan of Moate All Whites who won the Recitation competition. We were well represented by Castletown Geoghegan in Novelty Act, Jenny McNamee of The Downs in Solo Singing and Bunbrosna in Set Dancing. A special mention for Danielle Favier, Sister of Ciarán and his two cousins Lynda and Jenny McCarthy, who danced for Glenflesk, Kerry, in Set Dancing. Glenflesk are the new champions in this discipline.

Conor Quinn
Hard luck to Conor Quinn whose Voice of Ireland odyssey came to an end last weekend but I'm sure Conor will bounce back and continue to progress his musical career.

Lotto
Last weeks winning numbers were 1, 15, 26 and 28. There was no jackpot winner and next weeks jackpot will be €11,100.

Membership
Membership is well overdue at this stage and we would ask anyone who has not yet contributed to do so as soon as possible.

Juvenile Training
Training for Under 8's, 10's and 12's take place every Monday evening at 6pm in Castletown Geoghegan and all are welcome.

GAA/VHI Cúl Camp
There will be a Summer camp held in Páirc an Bhodhráin this year from the 23rd to 27th July. More details to follow in the coming weeks.

Condolences
The club expresses its sympathy with the Maloney and Manny families on the death of Willie Maloney, The Village. Willie was one of the oldest members of our community and was well known for his memory and knowledge of days gone by. He also played with the Ballinagore and Kilbeggan bands in his younger days, and played football and hurling for the local clubs. 'The Rebel' has gone to join 'The Gallant Band'. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.
