Meath Ladies Minor
Last Saturday saw the Meath Ladies Minors take on Kildare in Sarsfields in what was a playoff encounter but it wasn't to be for the Royal youngsters as a strong second half from Kildare saw the Lilywhites advance to the Leinster Final while Meath now enter the B Championship.

Natasha Mullen lined out at wing back while Roisin Commons was wing forward.  Kiah Geraghty was a substitute.

Meath Ladies U-16
The U-16's recorded a fine victory over Longford on Monday when winning out by 5-10 to 3-08.  Sorcha Gough was a second half superstar as she was sprung from the bench to hit a vital goal while also having a major role to play in a much improved second half showing.  Aoife Lenehan was an unused substitute.

Meath Ladies U-14
It was also a fabulous weekend for the U-14 Meath team who overcame Wexford by 11-08 to 3-01 in Drumree.

It was a proud day for the Monaghan family as Aoibhé and Caragh Monaghan both started, surely a first in the club to have twins start together for Meath.

As well as this the day got prouder from a club point of view as Lauren Donnelly, Lauren McCarthy and Orla Finnegan came off the bench with Lauren McCarthy in particular impressing.

Well done to each and every one of the girls.

Team of the Week.
We now select a team of the week chosen from the various teams across the different spectrums of the club and based upon the match reports received and feedback from the different team managers.

This week's selection is as follows - Shauna Gordon (U-16 Girls), Aoife Darby (U-16 Girls), Padraig Finnegan (U-16's), Louis Healy (Minors), Ella Waddington (U-16 Girls), Caragh Monaghan (U-14 Girls/Meath U-14 Girls), Shane McGeer (Minors), Kevin Casey (Junior C's), Robert Wogan (Minors), Alan Mulvany (Minors), Dylan Keating (Minors), Katie Geraghty (U-16 Girls), Cathal Finnegan (Minors), Sinéad McLarney (U-14 Girls) and Kelly Smith (U-16 Girls).

Player of the Week
Such was the level of performance of two of our players we are this week awarding the Player of the Week Award to two players.
Cathal Finnegan and Sinéad McLarney were both in scintillating form over the last week as they out in brilliant displays in the full forward line for the Minors and U-14 Girls respectively.
On Sunday against Ballivor/Boardsmill Cathal was on fire as he fired 3-03 to help the team pick up their second win from four games. Every time he got the ball he looked like he could do damage and generally he did.
Last Monday Sinéad had a superb game at full forward for the U-14 Girls as she led the forward line to great effect, always offering a very effective target a pass and linking the play to great effect. On top of this Sinéad hit a stunning hat trick as she was unmarkable on the evening.

Last Man Standing Update
The latest update on our Last Man Standing competition.
With 3 matches ending in a draw in round 6 of the National Football League, it has eliminated 6 participants from our 'Last Man Standing' competition.
This means it all comes down to the wire for the final round with only 11 people left in the competition.
Our prize money stands at €400 for the winner so make sure you get your tickets out and check if you are in with a chance and be our 'Last Man Standing'!!!
On behalf of all the players, we would like to thank everyone who took part and donated to the club.

Go Games Referees
We are currently looking for Go Games referees.  These will help out at Go Games Blitzes by refereeing the U-8 and U-10 games in an environment where the emphasis is on the players having fun and Silent Sidelines meaning there will be no people shouting instructions at either the players or the referee!

Anybody interested should contact our Juvenile Secretary, Paul O'Brien on [email protected]

Club Lotto
The numbers drawn in this week's Lotto were 1, 4, 6 and 23.  There was no winner of the jackpot of €10,000 which means next week's jackpot will once more be worth €10,000.  The 5 by €25 winners were Elaine Clarke, Fiona McDonnell, Caroline Mooney & Finian O'Dea, Ann Mongey and Jimmy Carroll.

Tickets for the Lotto are €2 or 3 for €5. They can be purchased from committee members, Lotto sellers, local shops or you can also play online at http://www.helpourclub.ie/localhome.asp?
