Omagh St Enda's After all the adverse weather conditions bingo is returning to St Enda's this Thursday 14th January at 9pm at Healy Park with ¬£4000 in prize money including the ¬£1000 house and two ¬£500 houses and 17 other useful prizes. There is also a chance to win the ¬£5000 top prize in the club lotto which is drawn at the bingo. Please note that St Enda's organise a free BINGO BUS to Healy Park every Thursday stopping at the following areas approximately: Townview Avenue Spar Shop (8.10pm), O'Kane Park (8.15pm), Tamlaght Road (8.20pm), Centra Brookmount Road (8.25pm), Pat Kirks (8.30pm) and finally Strathroy (8.40pm). There is also a free BINGO BUS which travels from Victoria Bridge (7.30pm) to Spamount (7.45pm), Castlederg (8pm) and Drumquin (8.20pm). Also a BINGO BUS leaves Ballymagorry (7.30pm), travels to Bridge Street, Strabane (7.45pm), Sion Mills (7.50pm) and Main Street, Newtownstewart (8pm) and on to Healy Park. The Minors play Kilcoo >from Down this Sunday 24th January at 1.30pm at Shaws Road, Belfast in the Ulster Club Championship Final. The Club are organising a bus to the Ulster Club Minor final. Gaelic Start is cancelled this Saturday but will resume on 30th January. There will be no indoor 'Hurl-In' for adults next Wednesday 27th but sessions will resume on Wednesday 3rd Feb, 7-8pm. The club will be entering a side in the Tyrone indoor hurling blitz for P5-6 boys this Saturday in Omagh Leisure Centre at 10.30am. There is a Conditioned Games for Football course in Youth Sport Omagh on Monday 25th Jan at 7.30pm and a Learn to Train U10's & U12's in St Ciaran's Ballygawley on Wed 27th Jan at 7.30pm. Both courses are free of charge for Club Coaches. The Ulster GAA Coaching and Games Development Conference will take place on Saturday 30th January 2010 in the Glenavon House Hotel in Cookstown. This year's conference targets coaches who are working with youth players from 13-18 years. Places are open to all coaches at a cost of ¬£20 and includes lunch and an excellent Conference Pack. Stewartstown Harps GAC Senior and Reserve There will be meeting for all players intending to play senior or reserve football this year on Sunday evening at 7pm in the pavilion. Everyone to attend please. All new comers are extremely welcome. The club will be participating in the Ulster Intermediate league for the first time this year. The team have been drawn in group C with Doomhalet (Monaghan), Moneymore (Derry), Buncrana (Donegal), Middletown (Armagh) and Derrylaughan. Membership Membership for the forthcoming year is now due to be paid. The prices of membership for the coming year are: Adults £30, senior citizens/ youth £10, couples £50 and family (two adults and three children) £75. The committee have agreed that no one can play for the club if they are not a paid up member- NO EXCEPTIONS!!! So get your membership paid as soon as possible. All adult players are to pay their membership to Blake Smyth. Everyone else pay to Maura Gallagher. Closing date for membership is 28th Feb. Youth managers Anyone who would be interested in coaching any of our youth teams for the up coming year must contact Rory O'Neill on 02887738766. It is hoped that we get a large number of volunteers to look after the various youth teams within the club. Anyone who wishes to coach a youth team in 2010 must have completed their Child Protection course. Anyone interested in managing any of the ladies team is to contact Roisin O'Neill. Scor Sinsear The first round of Scor Sinsear will take place this Saturday in Moortown. Let's hope that the club is represented in as many categories as possible. Youth Dinner The annual youth dinner took place on Friday night. Thanks to the Greenvale for hosting the event. Awards for the various teams were given out and the winners were: U10- Shea Burke, U12- Mark O'Neill, U13- Darren Devlin, U14- Macauly Quinn and U16- Niall Dillon. Ladies awards were also given out and the winners were: U10 Kelli Dillon, U12- Clare Lewis and U16- Caoimhe Lowe. Thanks to all who attended and to the adults who helped out on the night. Sports quiz The club will be running a sports quiz and disco on 20th Feb in the Roadside Tavern. It will be for teams of four at £20 per team and is sure to be a good night's entertainment. An Chárraig Mhór Notes 18/1/09 The club is embarking on a Fundamental Skills programme and to launch the initiative we invite all parents/children in 5 - 6 year old bracket to a demonstration of the skills which we intend to develop in Dean Brian Maguirc College this Thursday 21st at 7.30pm - 8.30. The intention of this first night is to serve as a demonstration to parents of what is involved and the benefits of Fundamentals training. With the numbers involved parent participation is compulsory. The programme will not be successful without it so children need to be accompanied by a parent who will remain there each night to assist with delivering the programme. The first in a series of lectures will be given by F John Bradley on Tuesday 26th Jan at 8pm in the 'Nally Heritage Centre' at Pairc Colmcille. Fr Bradley will speak on 'Sweat Houses in Termonmaguirc and its other prehistoric sites'. Everyone is welcome. Refreshments will be served and the evening will provide an opportunity for questions, answers and renewal of old acquaintances. No admission charge. Closing date for club membership is the end of Feb with no exceptions. Membership to be paid to Brenda Mc Elduff who is in charge of membership for 2010. This year's dinner dance will be held on February 13 at The Mellon Country Inn with music by Blindside. Tickets are available from all committee members priced at £20. Aireagal Chiarain Well done to our Ballad Group who represented the club in the Ulster ScÛr na n"g final on Saturday in Galbally. Despite missing out on the title, we gave a mighty performance and everyone involved should feel rightly proud. Senior ScÛr begins shortly and anyone interested is asked to contact Gerry McCann a.s.a.p. A large crowd attended the first A.G.M. of the decade in Dunmoyle on Sunday. After the business of election of officers had been taken care of, guest of honour Pat McEneaney gave a presentation on refereeing followed by a question and answer session. Thanks to Pat for coming along. It offered club members a chance to ask the most respected whistler in the country questions and it was a novel and worthwhile change to the usual A.G.M. format. Loch Mhic Ruairí Naomh Treasa The club held their Annual Dinner Dance in the Greenvale Hotel Cookstown on Friday night past. This proved to be a very enjoyable occasion by all those who attended. Congratulations to Pearse Gallagher (Reserve Player of the Year) and Ronan Ward who received the Senior Player of the Year award. The Senior team are scheduled to play in the Ulster Intermediate League. They have been grouped along with Gortin, St. Enda's (Antrim), Donaghmoyne (Monaghan), Malin (Donegal) and Steelstown (Derry). The side are due to commence their campaign with an away fixture to Gortin on 7th February. The full list of fixtures are available on the club Website. There will be a meeting this Friday evening in the clubrooms at 8pm for anyone interested in playing Minor football in the forthcoming season. Winning Lotto numbers drawn last week were 2, 6, 8 and 12. No jackpot winner. Clann Na nGael CLG Football The girl's indoor training will continue on Tuesday nights in Dunnamanagh at 7pm sharp. Everyone should wear suitable indoor gear and bring their own water bottle. The Youth Presentation night will take place on Thursday 28th January in Dunnamanagh clubrooms at 7.30pm. This evening gives the club an opportunity to congratulate all the youth teams of last season on their achievements so everyone is urged to attend. Also on the same evening underage registration for the new season will take place. All children who intend to play football in 2010 must be registered. A parent or guardian must be there to register each child. Membership Membership for the incoming season is now due, and the first of two evenings available for payment shall be at the Youth Presentation night in Dunnamanagh on the 28th. There will also be an opportunity to complete an Access NI form on this night. Anyone who wishes to help out with underage teams or at discos or the festival, however small their input, must complete one of these forms. Lotto Last week's numbers were 2, 5, 6, 22. Piarsaigh An Ghallbhaile C.L.G CLUB MEMBERSHIP Club membership is now due for the new club year at a cost of £30 per person, £50 for husband and wife, £10 for student and OAPs and £5 for youth members. There is a new membership form in place whereby a household need only complete one form. The membership should only be paid to Membership Officer Shane Murphy and a membership night has been organised for 22nd January between 8:00 and 9:00 pm in the Community Centre. Please also note that Club Na Phiarsaigh members get full membership to the football club. SENIOR FOOTBALL Training for both Senior and Reserve players continues on Wednesday night at 7:00 pm in the Community Centre and Saturday morning at 9:30 am in Omagh Leisure Centre. LADIES FOOTBALL A reunion and presentation night will take place on Saturday 30th January in Quinn's Corner at 7:30pm. Tickets are priced at £15 and are available from any committee member. AN SCOR The Senior Scor takes place in Carrickmore on Sunday 24th January and all support is welcome. The Ulster Scor naOg Final took place in Galbally Community Centre on Saturday 16th January with representatives from all nine counties competing. Congratulations to all who competed, on what was an enjoyable night for all. MASS The Annual Mass for deceased members of Piarsaigh An Ghallbhaile will take place on Sunday 24th January at 10:00 am. All players and supporters, past and present, are requested to attend with club colours. FUNDRAISER GALA Gala DVDs are still available from Donnelly's and Tally's shops and any committee member. CONNECT 4 LOTTO There was no winner of the lotto draw on Tuesday the 12th of January. The numbers were 11, 9, 15 & 13. Cill Iseal Naomh Mhuire The club is holding a Celebration Banquet on Saturday 27th February in the Armagh City Hotel. A great nights entertainment is anticipated with plans being made to recognise the following and more; Ladies football in Cill Iseal reaching somewhat of a mile-stone in 10 very successful years in existence, not least last season which delivered an U-16 Grade 1 League and Championship double, U-18 Grade 1 Championship and a Senior Intermediate League and Championship double thus gaining promotion to the Senior grade for the first time. Kevin Hughes also had a 2009 to remember and his brilliant performances that seen him pick up some prestigious awards will also be a main feature of the event. 'Hub' has always been a fine ambassador for our club throughout his career and it would be fitting that we all turn out in large numbers to remember his achievements in his finest year in the Tyrone colours to date. Getting in on the act as well our U-16 boys deservedly claimed some silverware for their efforts winning a Championship with some thrilling performances along the way. There will also be various presentations on the night including, Players of the Year for Mens and Ladies teams etc. So for all Cill Iseal gaels, past players and members and anyone from neighbouring clubs and further afield, certainly an evening not to be missed. More details to follow in these notes in the weeks ahead or from any committee member. The lotto results for the draw made on Monday 18th January were N Q T V Z. There were no jackpot or match 4 winners. Lucky-dip winners were Brendan O'Neill and Shane Mallon 25 each. Sellers prize went to Caoimhe Fox. Jack-pot now stands at 3050. The new envelope tickets are proving to be a great success in their opening weeks, though organisers would like to remind sellers to try and convert all coins collected to paper notes where possible prior to handing in receipts. Ticket sales continue to rise although a couple of areas in the parish still are not being covered, namely Goland Rd and the Aughnagar Rd. Anyone who would be interested in selling in these areas, or anyone who thinks they could sell a few tickets at their place of work or outside the parish etc. please contact any committee member.     Liam Small and Eugene Maguire have been co-opted onto the committee for the coming year and a warm welcome is extended to both. Dominic Donaghy will double his role as secretary with the role of alcohol and substance abuse officer. Anyone who has any questions or requires any information on this subject can contact Dominic.      Club membership has been set for 2010 and remains the same as last year; Adults 25  Youth 10. There will be no concessions. Membership can be paid soon to any committee member. The club have been working on a new and improved membership form and these will be available from Monday 25th January from all committee members. The purpose of the form is to collect basic information, contact details and to confirm any payment received. The dead-line for membership is 15th March. It is important that all membership be paid before this date as anyone who hasnt will be eneligable to play football for the club or be considered for tickets later in the year. A fully completed form must be received with payment and vice versa.     Anyone who has an interest in becoming involved in team management this season can put their name forward to Dominic Donaghy, Eugene Monaghan or Nicola McAnenly in the near future. The club require management for the following positions; senior mens reserve, senior ladies and all boys and girls youth. All nominations must be received before 1st February.     The Ulster Council are holding a Coaching and Games Development Conference on Saturday 30th January in the Glenavon House Hotel. The seminar will be a great opportunity for buding managers to learn more about coaching and pick up some tips along the way. Training for all Ladies Senior and Minor players continues on Wednesday nights at 7.45pm in Plumbridge Hall. The club will be hosting a table quiz in Leo's on Friday 29th January at 9.30pm following the club registration night. All members and supporters are asked to attend this important fundraiser. We will be competing in Scór Sinsear this Friday, 22nd January in the Parochial Hall, Castlederg. The competition gets underway at 7.00pm. Dinner Dance & Presentation Night An Mhaigh Tír na nÓg G.A.C. Annual Dinner Dance and Presentation Night will be held in the Ryandale, Moy on Friday 29th January. Among the distinguished guests at this year's all-ticket affair will be Mr Tom Daly, President of the Ulster Council. Dinner will be served at 7.30pm and, following the presentations of the various awards, live music will be provided by popular band Black Diamond. Tickets, priced £20 each, are now available from any member of the club committee. We would encourage all our members and friends to book their tickets for this event as soon as possible. Community Consultation The members of An Mhaigh G.A.C. Managing Committee believe that it is important that a representative selection of residents in the local area get the opportunity to voice their views on how future development should take place. This includes assessing what aspects of any proposed development are of highest priority. We would greatly appreciate your time in completing a short questionnaire that has been drawn up and will enable An Mhaigh Tír na nÓg G.A.C. to target our development and funding at the areas of most need within our club and community. The questionnaire is strictly confidential and can be completed online by logging onto www.moy-gfc.com and clicking on the Community Consultation icon on the home page of our website. Alternatively, you can obtain a hard copy of the questionnaire by contacting any member of the club's development or executive committee. Even if you think some of the questions are not that relevant to you, we would still welcome your views. Ulster Football League An Mhaigh senior footballers will be competing in this year's Ulster League competition. With Mattie McGleenan back at the helm for a third year, our senior squad will use the upcoming fixtures against some of Ulster's top clubs as ideal preparation for the Tyrone All-County League which is due to get underway at the start of April. The Moy will compete in section C of the Ulster Senior Football League. Our fixtures are as follows: v Whitecross (Armagh) at home on Sunday 7th February; v Loup (Derry) away on Sunday 14th February; v Burren (Down) at home on Sunday 21st February; v Slaughtneil (Derry) away on Sunday 28th February; v Portglenone (Antrim) at home on Sunday 7th March. All games have a provisional start time of 2.00pm. Youth Team Affairs Following last Sunday evening's meeting in the clubrooms to appoint coaches and mentors for each of our boys and girls underage teams, An Mhaigh Youth Officer Martin Conroy has made an urgent appeal for more parents and volunteers to come forward to lend assistance at youth level in 2010. A number of assistant coaches and team mentors are still needed to help out with our Under 12, Under 10 and Under 8 boys and girls teams. Anyone interested in getting involved with these young players should contact Marty Conroy as soon as possible. Lotto 100 The club are currently embarking on a new lotto fundraiser. The aim is to try and increase lotto sales to help with the ongoing development of Paddy Cullen Park. Our aim is to try and encourage 200 people to pay the weekly club lotto via Standing Order. For just £8.50 per month, £2.12 per week you will get two lines of lotto numbers per week and one free week per year. This will help the club in securing future funding. In the coming weeks members will also be able to play the club lotto online at the club website. All of these things can do such much to help the development of the club and members support would be greatly appreciated. Youth Management Applications Anyone interested in managing or coaching any of the underage teams at the club should apply in writing on or before Monday 25th January.
